  • Konopiste Castle - a lovely hunting chateau is situated 45 km southeast of Prague. It was founded in the 13th century and it has become famous as the last residence of Archduke Franz Ferdinand d´Este, the successor to the Austro-Hungarian throne, whose assassination in Sarajevo in 1914 triggered World War I. Visitors can observe the Archduke´s residential rooms, a large collection of antlers, or an armoury with medieval weapons. Price: 970 CZK/adults 850 CZK/students; 700 CZk children. Duration: 4 hours.   • Karlstejn Castle - this large Gothic castle was founded in the 14th century by Charles IV, King of Bohemia and Holy Roman Emperor and is situated 35 km soutwest of Prague.   • Karlovy Vary (Carlsbad) - this world-famous spa has been knowfor its medicinal mineral springs and you can get the chance to taste them! The best know of the springs is the Geyser, springin its water to the height of 12 meters. In the city you can also find both historical and modern colonnades and you can admire locally manufactured Moser glass and porcelain.   • Kutna Hora - UNESCO - "the city of miners" - situated approx. 65 km east from Prague. It owns its origin to the silver miners, the existence of whose can be traced back to the 13th century.   • Terezin - built at the end of te 18th century, originally served as an ingenious system of military fortresses for the protection of the Bohemian Kingodm.   • Cesky Krumlov - UNESCO - the fairy tale-ish town situated approx. 170 km north from Prague has been a part of the UNESCO cultural and natural heritage since 1992. In the historical centre there are 300 historical houses and the second largest castle in the Czech Republic with magnificent baroque gardens and a unique theatre with rotating auditorium.
